Our mission at Compass Christian Church is to love God, love people, and serve both. With Christ as our example of service, we seek to utilize the gifts and resources we’ve been given to serve our community. Serving others is more than an event but a lifestyle we foster through our ministries that will utilize your gifts and passions for God's work.

1 Peter 4: 8-10 |   Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

HOPE MINISTRY

The mission of the Hope Ministry is to partner with local organizations to help neighbors experiencing homelessness and those living in poverty. Our focus is to share the love and blessings from God by helping to meet their needs and serve monthly with various opportunities. We create service opportunities that are suitable for the entire family and allow our church family to utilize their passions to impact others lives in the community.

Our main partner in this ministry is Moments of Hope Outreach. You can take a look at their page below.

Love the Schools

Partnership with our local schools is a big way that we love our community. We have a great relationship with the schools in our community and are available to assist them when needs within their school arise. We participate in a variety of events including teacher and student breakfasts, the local backpack program, and teacher appreciation week. We also support our school families through our annual Giving Tree, where we provide Christmas gifts to those who may not be able to afford them.

FRONTLINE MINISTRIES

Frontline Ministries shares biblical truths with those who have chosen to serve on the front lines. We provide opportunities for social connection for first responders and military service members through discipleship, bible studies, retreats, and family support. We seek to build a community that encourages spiritual growth by sharing the transforming power of Christ’s love.

GriefShare is a national program designed to help people dealing with grief and/or loss. This 13-week class will give you tools to cope with grief and help you understand you are not alone. Visit the GriefShare website to learn more or sign up for the next class at Compass.

 BRAXTON’S RELIEF MINISTRY

The loss of a child affects not only the family but everyone in their support system. It affects us emotionally and spiritually in many ways for years.

Our church family has experienced this pain and from this it has brought to our attention the need in our community to support these families. In honor of our babies Braxton Waitman and Braxton Wells and many other babies we have formed this relief to bring hope and show God's love to families during this time. We provide aid to families who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, pregnancy loss, or early infant death. We want to provide emotional and spiritual support through a community of families that are on this journey with grief together.

Compass Cruise In

Each year in September, we identify a family who has been affected by childhood disease and support them with our Compass Cruise-In. We take our worship service outside and fill
our parking lot with show cars, bikes, and trucks, children’s activities and hear a
message of the hope we find in Jesus! Find out more about this year’s event.

Meal Pack

We partner with Lifeline Christian Mission to purchase and prepare thousands of nutritious meals for people all across our world. Every May, we convert our worship space into a place of laughter, music, and meal pack races! This family-friendly service opportunity is a great way to make a difference in the lives of people everywhere.
